Catherine Duval, DVM

Doctor Catherine Duval graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. She also graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Elementary Education in 1983. In 1989 Dr. Duval received an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from Essex Community College in Maryland. She then pursued a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology at John Hopkins University and worked as a Laboratory Research Technician at the Asthma and Allergy Center. While there, Dr. Duval applied to VMRCVM in 1992 to fulfill a dream of being a veterinarian, similar to her Great-Grandfather, one Dr. Thomas Packwood of Brown City, Michigan.

Dr. Duval’s veterinary interests include Dentistry, Dermatology, Preventative Medicine, and Client Education. She especially enjoys helping her clients and their pets navigate different life stage and the challenges they may encounter.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Duval enjoys spending time with her daughter and twin boys. She also enjoys being outdoors and partaking in activities such as camping and kayaking with her family. Dr. Duval’s furry friends include Macie the Golden Retriever, Cassie the cat, and the not-so-furry Bearded Dragon Kevin.
